Helsinki African Film Festival brings recent quality films from Africa to Finland every year. Our aim is to bring forth new perspectives and strong stories that might otherwise remain out of sight. In 2016, the theme of the festival is Africa Movements: MOVE. In addition to film screenings, the festival also hosts clubs, opening program and free screenings in Arabia Street Festival. HAFF was first organised in 2010. The festival is organised by Shalin Finland ry; an association for development cooperation.
